Browse through my tempting selection of tried and tested gluten free recipes. Many are simply gluten free takes on good old family favourites, that originate from my mum and grandma’s recipe books. Other recipes are ones I’ve gathered up from cookery books and cuttings from magazines and tested them in gluten free format to make sure they’re a hit, before sharing with you. I was really happy with how this gluten free Black Forest gateau turned out. The original recipe I used came from the BBC Good Food website, and as with so many standard recipes, with a few tweaks and ingredient checks, it was possible to make it completely gluten free.

Had a little bash at making a gluten free steamed jam sponge pudding the other day and was absolutely over the moon with how well it turned out. The sponge was perfectly light and compared fabulously to ‘gluten filled’ steamed puddings I’d enjoyed many years ago.
