I’ve made this gluten free chocolate banana bread a few times now and love it. It’s a real joy to make. No fancy equipment needed. Not even an electric whisk.
This delightfully soft, flavoursome chocolate banana bread is studded with chocolate chips and is one of those cakes that tastes even better a day or so after it’s made. The yummy flavours seem to intensify somehow.
I discovered this rather wonderful pear cake ((Torta di pere e mandorle) recipe by Elisabetta Ludica, on the BBC Food website. The only change I’ve made to the original recipe is to use gluten free flour. And after baking and testing it out a few times, I’d like to share the recipe with you.
I’m a fan of coconut cake and have wanted to get a recipe for one on the blog for some time. The recipe I’ve gone with is something I popped together as a bit of a trial a few weeks ago and I was delighted with the result.
This gluten free iced coconut cake is quick and easy to make and is the perfect thing to have a go at if you’re new to baking, as you simply need to pop all the ingredients into a mixing bowl, whisk, spoon into a baking tin and bake. And then, as is by magic, you will be rewarded with a delicious, soft coconut sponge cake. Yum!

I’ve been at it again, rustling up a gluten free version of another delicious classic. This time I’m bringing you a rather wonderful recipe for a sticky toffee pudding cake.
I was having a little hunt through my recipe books and came across this one for gluten free citrus muffins in my Juvela gluten free foods recipe folder.
These muffins are SO easy to pop together, but boy oh boy do they reward you well with a glorious little cake. Soft pale lemon sponge, with delightful tiny golden strips of orange dotted here and there and the unique tangy flavour that only a truly great marmalade can deliver. Finishing the muffins with a drizzle of glace icing really jazzes them up and the sugary sweetness compliments the citrus flavours perfectly.
Delighted to share this lovely simple recipe, for a rather delicious gluten free coffee and walnut cake with you. A good old classic, that’s a favourite treat for many.

Here is another rather super recipe to share with you. This gluten free ginger spiced cake has a yummy, soft, golden buttery crumb, that is perfectly spiced with warming ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. And, when decorated with a generous drizzle of glace icing, and chopped crystallised stem ginger, it’s ramped up into a a fabulous teatime treat!
