Mmmm moussaka I love it! Now, my take on moussaka isn’t the true authentic dish that you would expect to get served up in Greece. But, it is nice and easy to pop together, extremely tasty and naturally gluten free.

I’ve loved making this gluten free Russian sandwich cake and writing the recipe up to share with you. My grandma was rather partial to this cake too. And I used to love treating to her to one from our local bakery. I’m sorry that she won’t ever get to taste my gluten free version of […]
I do love a good tasty canapé. For me, it’s a perfect morsel to pop into your mouth whilst enjoying a glass of chilled fizz! Canapés make a great pre-dinner starter. Just that bit of something, to ‘put you on’, before heading to the table to tuck into the main meal – giving the designated […]
I’ve always loved cottage pie – it’s another one of the many tasty meals I’ve grown up tucking into, as it was something my mum and grandma would often make. Cottage pie is such a comforting tummy warming meal. And after hearing Steve Wright on Radio 2 talking about the fondness of traditional hearty pub […]
I’d heard great things about LEON restaraunts and their super gluten free offerings. So was delighted to discover that they had opened a branch at Cheshire Oaks (one of my favourite places to shop!). And on Wednesday, after a spot of Christmas shopping with my fabulous buddy Carol, we called in for our tea.
Updated 30th June 2022 I finally got chance to pop into Off The Wheaten Track for a bite to eat the other Friday. This place had been on my wish list of places to eat ever since it had opened earlier in the year. Off The Wheaten Track is a 100% gluten free deli and […]
I’ve always loved cauliflower cheese, and as a teenager, often when I arrived home from doing my weekend job in our local village shop, my mum would have one waiting for me. It was one of my absolute favourite lunches and always made me feel special too, as I’d generally have a whole cauliflower all […]
As with many of the recipes I share with you, it’s not always my first intention to do so, but instead, the fact that I’ve just fancied rustling up something particular for myself to eat, and when it turns out great, I get all giddy and think, Oooh, must tell you about it too! And […]
I do love to cook my own gammon/ham joint. I just think there is something very satisfying about the process, and if not being used straight away, it’s nice to have it in the fridge to cut at to make sandwiches, add to salads, or to enjoy with a few chips etc. Cooking a gammon […]
Last week me and Neil took ourselves off for a little break, to stay at very wonderful Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa. We were originally planning to visit Arran. But Neil spotted this hotel in Carnoustie, and we got side tracked. Hopefully we will make it to Arran one day.
