This vibrantly coloured red slaw has it all going on, with a lovely variation of textures and flavours. The ideal side to enjoy with barbecued meat/fish/veggies, homemade quiche, cold cuts (and hot buttered new potatoes – yum!), freshly cut sandwiches, tasty toasties and so much more.
Naturally gluten free
Revised 7th August 2021
I first learnt how to make lemon curd in a home economics class at school (a long time ago, although it really doesn’t feel like it). Much to my delight, when I took it home, it was a huge hit with my mum and grandparents. And for a while, my family got slightly bombarded with jars of lemon curd.
I love pavlova. In fact, if picking from a menu it would probably be my first pudding of choice. Gluten free sticky toffee pudding or a fabulous ice cream would also be huge contenders!
One of the many great things about a pavlova, is that it is also naturally gluten free. Hoorah! Of course when eating out, still always ask the relevant questions. Just in case any additional ingredients that are not gluten free have been chucked in.
I’m here again with another childhood recipe to share with you. These chocolate picnic slices are as much a joy to make as they are to eat and are naturally gluten free.
We all have our own little take on how we make a chilli and what additional ingredients we pop in there! My signature chilli recipe has changed through the years. Moving on from when we were on a tight budget and needing to use the cheapest mince and adding Heinz baked beans (which tasted good in a different way), to now refusing to make a it unless I can get hold of my local butchers mince (it’s so good!!) and swapping the baked beans for kidney beans and popping in lots of freshly chopped peppers.
I wanted to share this recipe for dauphinoise potatoes with you as they are delicious, naturally gluten free and super easy to make.
If you’ve never had a bash at making dauphinoise potatoes I recommend you do. You won’t regret it as they really are tremendous. They’re the perfect potato dish to enjoy with a roast!
