Isn’t it just the way, that the moment you rave about something, things can go a little pear shaped? Well I’m afraid that’s what happened with the whole running thing since I posted my running post!!
We all have our own little take on how we make a chilli and what additional ingredients we pop in there! My signature chilli recipe has changed through the years. Moving on from when we were on a tight budget and needing to use the cheapest mince and adding Heinz baked beans (which tasted good in a different way), to now refusing to make a it unless I can get hold of my local butchers mince (it’s so good!!) and swapping the baked beans for kidney beans and popping in lots of freshly chopped peppers.
With the chillier days approaching I thought it would be a nice time to share with you this quick and easy gluten free plum crumble. The Perfect warming, comforting pudding, that can be popped together in no time at all.
Last month I shared this great gluten free ginger sponge recipe on Juvela’s blog. The original recipe was taken from my Mums handwritten recipe book and something she often made for us as a family or when we had friends over for tea. It was always a particular favourite of mine. Especially good with hot, thick *custard (and if I haven’t told you, I love the skin from the top of the custard, so for me, that too!!). So, yes, with a little bit of jiggery pokery I finally made a gluten free version using Juvela gluten free mix. The best thing is, it tasted just how I remembered!
